Welcome to the Scout area of our District website. We have 14 Troops of Scouts within Barking & Dagenham and a very active programme throughout the year.

Scouts in B&D get the chance to take part in swimming galas, sports days and football competitions. Their development is focused on a wide range of activities that encourage and nurture life skills like planning, communication, teamwork safety awareness.  A Scout can expect to learn about first aid and survival exercises while camping. They are challenged across a diverse range of skills, from cycling to camping competitions and other group based team events.

Scouts is for 10½ to 14 year olds who like being challenged and want to better themselves. Scouts usually meet once a week as a “Troop”. The Troop is run by trained, voluntary leaders and helpers.
